Enjoy!”

3rd February 2011
Vanna has recently finished two more acrylic paintings.
The first, Sea Bindweed, St. Agnes, was inspired by a trip to St. Agnes, Isles of Scilly, in June 2010 and painted from sketches and photographs o the beach behind Beady Pool.
The inspiration for Watching Waxwings came from much closer to home, when flocks of Waxwings visited Norwich during the snowy weather in November and December 2010. One particular flock favoured the Stafford Street and Connaught Road area of Norwich, sitting at the top of a tall tree and swooping down to raid nearby berry bushes. The flock only moved on once the berries had been eaten.
Both paintings can be viewed in Vanna's Acrylics Gallery.

Vanna's latest acrylic painting, of Goldfinches and Teazels, is in our Acrylics Gallery.
"Late September. The wind is at our backs and the clouds on the horizon are laden with rain. The little churchyard at Rye Harbour has a lonesome air. The day is cold and grey, the drab shades of summer's end are as yet unburnished by the colourful changes that will herald autumn."

6th November 2010
Vanna's acrylic painting Winter Apples, Fieldfares and Redwing is now available as a square card on our Wildlife and Landscape cards page.
"January 2010. The allotments in winter have a beauty and appeal all their own. Much of the soil is bare or covered with a neglected sprawl of weeds and an air of abandonment hangs over the patched sheds, listing water butts and compost bins and collapsing bean frames. But the land is still sustaining - rows of hard green cabbages and the stiff upright stalks of buttoned sprouts fill a corner or two on most plots." Read more...
