The Pollen Path - Norfolk Open Studios at The Greenhouse

My acrylics and linocuts will be exhibited in the gallery at the The Greenhouse, 42 - 46 Bethel Street, Norwich, NR2 1NR, as part of Norfolk Open Studios 2013.

The gallery will be open at the following times from Saturday 25th May – Sunday 9th June 2013: Tuesday to Friday 10 – 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday – 11 – 5pm. Closed on Mondays.

Other artists who are taking part are Jane Ironside, Gena Ivanov, Fabian Harrison, Evie Janssens, Lara A'Court, Liz McGowan, Kim Rebecca, Cathy Rumsey, Alex Lynn-Smith, Tigger, Joceline Wickham, Lynda Williams and the Saturday Writers.

Latest Linocuts

I have created some two more linocuts.

'Poppy Land' is of Wheatears, a lobster pot and a Yellow Horned-Poppy at Cley-next-the-Sea in North Norfolk.

''Crests, Bramble and Briar' features two Goldcrests and a Firecrest with brambles and wild roses.

Both linocuts feature in my Linocuts gallery.

Assembly House Art Show 2013

Vanna's linocut of moths entitled 'Warning Signs' will be exhibited in the Assembly House Art Show 2013 in Norwich, from Monday 8th April to Wednesday 8th May 2013.

Latest Linocuts

I have created some two more linocuts.

'Winter Reivers' features Waxwings, an old favourite, and 'Lighthouse Peepers' features the lighthouse at Orfordness in Suffolk, with a group of Oystercatchers on the shoreline.

Greenhouse Art Auction

Several of my original paintings, linocuts and giclée prints will feature in The Greenhouse's Charity Auction in aid of Friends of the Earth's BeeCause campaign, Food Cycle (Norwich hub) and the Greenhouse Trust.

The auction will take place on 8th December 2012 and the on-line catalogue will go live on 24th November 2012. E-mail bids will be accepted until the date of the auction.

Work for sale can be viewed at the Greenhouse at the Greenhouse (42-46 Bethel Street, Norwich, NR2 1NR) on Fridays and Saturdays up to the auction date. Find out more on The Greenhouse website.

Latest Linocuts

I have been busy creating more linocuts and have added two more linocuts to my Linocuts gallery.

The prints are 'Shieldbugs', featuring Red-legged, Green and Hawthorn Shieldbugs on a background of leaves and 'Hanging Around', a Migrant Hawker dragonfly resting on a Clematis.

Rare And Splendid Things

An exhibition of my acrylic paintings, entitled 'Rare And Splendid Things', will take place between from 25th September and 20th October 2012.

It will be held at The Greenhouse, 42-46 Bethel Street, Norwich, NR2 1NR.

The gallery is open on Fridays and Saturdays and by appointment on other days.

Printmakers' Wildlife Exhibition at The BIRDscapes Gallery

Five of my linocuts are on sale at the Printmakers' Wildlife exhibition at the The BIRDscapes Gallery at Glandford, Holt, NR25 7JP.

The exhibition opened on Sunday 13th May 2012 (12 - 5pm) and continues until Sunday 10th June 2012.

This is the biggest exhibition of wildlife prints in the country, and features well known wildlife artists such as Robert Gillmor, Carrie Akroyd, Thelma Sykes and Louise Bird.

Vanna's Latest Picture - Blossom Time

My latest acrylic painting features Great Tits and apple blossom and is entitled Blossom Time.

This spring a pair of Great Tits nested in next door's garden. They regularly came into our garden and fed on our apple tree, which inspired this picture.

The painting appears in my Acrylics Gallery.

Vanna's Latest Picture - High Rise Rooks

My latest acrylic painting is entitled High Rise Rooks.

In late March Jeremy and I cycled to Reedham and I sketched the rooks nesting in the churchyard and then used the sketches to produce the painting.

'High Rise Rooks' is my largest canvas to date at 28" by 36". It appears in my Acrylics Gallery.

N Art 2 Easter Art and Craft Show at the Belvedere Centre, Norwich

Jeremy and I will be taking part in the N Art 2 Easter Art and Craft Show at The Belvedere Centre, Belvoir Street, Norwich, NR2 3AZ, on Easter Saturday, 7th April 2012 (10am to 4.30pm, admission free.) Why not come and visit us?

I will be doing linocut demonstrations and there will be demonstrations by other artists too, with art and craft work for sale and teas, coffees and cakes.

Celebration of Dragonflies Exhibition

Jeremy and I will be exhibiting in the 'Celebration of Dragonflies Exhibition' at the Dragonfly Gallery, Wayland House, Watton between Saturday 14th and Saturday 21st April 2012.

I will be exhibiting my Ruddy Darter acrylic and a linocut and Jeremy will be exhibiting three photographs of dragonflies taken at Strumpshaw Fen RSPB Reserve.
